Alvaro Vitali will also be present for the 2024 edition of the Italian Horror Fantasy Fest, which will take place from 13 to 16 June at the Stardust Village, located in the center of the four Roman districts of Eur, Torrino, Mostacciano and Spinaceto, surrounded by a large green area of ​​approximately 33,000 square meters.

The event, created in 2010 by the artistic director, producer and film director Luigi Pastore as a summer event on the Roman coast with the prerogative of celebrating the masters of Italian genre cinema and discovering new emerging talents and artists who continue this glorious tradition, will in fact include in this seventh edition the new show Pierino against the monsters, which, studied by the comedian himself and including the participation of his wife Stefania Corona, will see him grappling with a series of monstrous and fantastic creatures.

A show designed to demonstrate the desire on the part of the Italian Horror Fantasy Fest - recognized in 2020 among the hundred best in the world selected by the Festhome platform for having held the online edition in the midst of the pandemic - to address not only fans of horror cinema and to professionals, but to reach a much wider audience, not accustomed to this genre, and to rediscover the more artistic and cultural side of a universe that ranges from the Seventh to literature, from music to the graphic and visual arts.

Moreover, in addition to the inevitable review of feature films and short films, there will be various parallel events, including concerts, stands, cosplayers and, a very important novelty, the film market: a unique opportunity to present new films in a prestigious context, offering the possibility to organize very high quality screenings by invitation and to include them in the official program of the festival.

A true village of fantastic cinema, in short, where even specialized exhibitors will have an international showcase at their disposal to promote their activities, projects and collaborations, connecting directly with decision makers, directors, producers and other professionals in the sector.

On the other hand, the Italian Horror Fantasy Fest boasts a tradition which has seen in previous editions, among others, the presence of Eli Roth, director of Thanksgiving and Hostel, the great Polish author Andrzej Zulawski, the special effects wizards Tom Savini and Sergio Stivaletti and the masters of Italian horror Dario Argento, Pupi Avati, Lamberto Bava, Enzo G. Castellari, Luigi Cozzi, Claudio Fragasso, Ruggero Deodato, Umberto Lenzi, Sergio Martino and, as presenter in 2014, the director comedian Paolo Ruffini.

Also for this new edition the historic partnership with Profondo Rosso Store and Dario Argento's Museo degli Orrori returns, in collaboration with the director Luigi Cozzi as artistic consultant.

While waiting, therefore, to "die of laughter" in seeing the legendary Pierino surrounded by the most famous monsters that the human mind could have given birth to, registrations to submit your film or short film to the festival are open until 30 April 2024 (here the regulation: https://www.ihff.it/regolamento2024).

All the registered films will be visible to the public who will register as a  juror for free on the Italian Horror Fantasy Fest platform, with the opportunity to vote for them from 1 to 10 May 2024.
